More black marques from Audi

- Stewart Smith newsdesk@walesonline.co.uk

THIS is the latest of Audi’s popular Black Edition models which enhance the appeal of the new A4 saloon and Avant.

Black Edition specification was the choice of more than 50 per cent of customers ordering the previous A4 model and the new versions are available with the full A4 engine range, from the entry-level 1.4 TFSI with 150bhp right up to the most powerful 272bhp V6 TDI quattro.

Special features include 19-inch five-arm rotor alloy wheels in a matt titanium finish complemented by a titanium black styling pack which extends to the mirror housings, single frame grille and window surrounds, side skirts, rear spoiler and air intakes.

Other features include black roof rails on the Avant estate models and in both body styles privacy glass is added for the rear windows as well as acoustic front side window glass to reduce cabin noise.

All versions have Audi’s Connect Safety and Service technology which takes the A4’s advanced Internet-enabled on-board network to provide emergency calls, online roadside assistance and Audi service request functions.

Sport models gain an upgraded multifunction steering wheel, a seven-inch full-colour driver’s information system, front seat heating and leather upholstery, while S line models swap their cloth and leather combination upholstery for a leather and Alcantara mix and also add seat heating.

Prices for the A4 saloon Black Edition start at £32,350 for the 1.4 TFS 150bhp six-speed manual. The Avant line-up starts at £33,750.
