Leaders must accept huge responsibility

-

HAVING just returned with my family from a delightful week in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, last Saturday afternoon, I was shocked to hear about the atrocity at London Bridge.

Like the vast majority of Britons, my heart goes out to the victims and families, and also to those in the Manchester and Westminster outrages. However I am also angry with our lying, hypocritical political leaders who must accept a huge responsibility for the state of emergency that now exists in the UK.

For all his faults, I admire Jeremy Corbyn for having the guts to say publicly what most of us believe, namely that the actions of successive British governments (Blair and Cameron) in accompanying the USA in aggressive, illegal invasions of Moslem countries like Iraq and Lybia has almost certainly inspired these lunatic murderers. As various polls and the mass peaceful demonstrations at the time suggested, the British people did not want to invade these countries, but our lying leaders managed to fool parliament, thereby ensuring it unlikely they would be prosecuted for war crimes.

At the same time, both the Blair Brown Labour, and the Cameron (remember Theresa May was Home Secretary) Tory governments consistently lied about the number of both legal and illegal immigrants entering the UK. So understanding the reasons, what is now to be done?

The best solution offered in the horrible mess created by our leaders since 9/11, comes as so often from Nigel Farrage, who says strong words from outside 10 Downing Street are no longer enough. He insists there must be a complete abandonment of the nonsensical political correctness that currently exists, with recognition at schools, colleges, in the work place, and everywhere else that Britain is a Christian democratic country, and while tolerance will always be a British priority, extremism and the encouragement of hatred will not be permitted.

I believe that 99.9% of the Moslems living here are peaceful law abiding people, but they must take more responsibility for the actions of the minority of their fellow Moslems who seek to destroy our society and democracy. Even then it will probably take a couple of generations to eradicate the hatred created by the actions of our stupid warmongering past leaders.

Thankfully the decision of the British people to leave the European Union and finally control our own borders means we should have a better chance than most EU countries of keeping more of these murderers out, and hopefully living peacefully as a United Kingdom regardless of race, religion or creed.
