PEUGEOT says that its revamped 308 hatchback, due to hit UK roads in September, will be crammed with a range of new technology making it one of the most driver friendly motors on the market.

In a class driven by connectivity, the new Peugeot 308 has a 9.7-inch touchscreen which puts the key functions of the interior at the fingertips of the driver.

The functions available range from dual zone climate control to 3D connected navigation with TomTom Live updates.

The new infotainment system incorporates Mirror Screen, comprising Mirrolink, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, allowing the integration of smartphone functions.

A new eight-speed automatic transmission coupled with the 2.0-litre BlueHDi 180 Stop&Start completes the new engine range, while the quicker Peugeot 308 GTi by Peugeot Sport is powered by a 270bhp THP turbo charged petrol engine enabling 0-62 mph in just six seconds with CO2 emissions of 139g/km equating to 47.1mpg.
