Shot groom-to-be fights for his life
A BRITISH man has been shot on a Philippine island just days before his wedding.
Tarek Naggar, 44, is said to be critically injured and in intensive care after being attacked during a robbery on Cebu.
Mr Naggar – from East Dunbartonshire and recently living in Sweden – was sitting outside a bar in the capital, Cebu City, in the early hours of Thursday with his fiancée Angie and best man Chris McLaughlin, according to the Sunday Herald.
Three men on a scooter then pulled up and demanded the Scot hand over his wallet. When he refused, one pulled out a pistol and shot him in the chest.
They also reportedly made off with the wallet, credit cards and local money he was carrying, equivalent to less than £10.
