Perhaps savings can be made on HS2, too

NOW that Transport Secretary Chris Grayling has discovered a way to improve rail times from Cardiff to Swansea by nearly 20 minutes and with little disruption, he should consider applying the same technology to the HS2 London to Birmingham route, thus saving billions of pounds of taxpayers’ money.

Failure to do so may lead observers to conclude that Mr Grayling is happy to make major economies in Wales while lavishing billions of pounds on prestige schemes in England. Kerry Livesy Abertyleri, Blaenau Gwent
