Llandeilo’s successful antiques and vintage fair will continue
DERWEN Fairs has been running antique fairs for more than 17 years and has now taken over the monthly antiques and vintage fair at the Civic Hall in Llandeilo, where the next fair will held on Saturday, August 5.
Following its huge success with the launch of its flagship events in the National Botanic Gardens near Carmarthen seven years ago, it was decided that Derwen Fairs would continue running the well-established Llandeilo fair.
This successful fair will be held on the first Saturday of each month (with the exception of January and February) and can be located in the heart of the busy town of Llandeilo, close to the main car park.
Here you will find a bustling, vibrant fair with lots of antiques and vintage at affordable prices.
Moving with the times we have included a vintage element to the fair.
Whether hunting at the antique fair for enjoyment, or surfing for just the right item, understanding what is meant by terms such as antique or vintage can improve the buying process.
The fair boasts a good range of quality antiques from silver and gold watches to Welsh textiles including the much sought-after Welsh blankets.
There will be displays of toys and clothes, kitchenalia, up-cycled and pre-loved furniture, militaria and an impressive display of books.
On display will be a selection of Welsh paintings, including works by Pontardawe artist Lynford Jones.
His art uses mixed mediums and the range of pictures depicting scenes of women cockling on the Gower coast is stunning.
He is fast building up a reputation and displays in many Welsh galleries.
There will also be a colourful collections of pottery from the nearby Gwili pottery.
Homemade snacks and refreshments will be available at the fair and doors open at 10am and close at 4pm. Admission is just £1.
