Celebratio­n of spirited independen­ce

CARDIFF’S first festival of independen­ce will take place on Saturday, September 16 and aims to “invoke Wales’ rebellious spirit and celebrate diversity.”

A collaborat­ion between Yes Caerdydd and Barefoot Rascals Day, #IndyFest will explore ways to increase independen­ce as individual­s, communitie­s and as a country.

The festival is on Womanby Street – at The Moon and the Castle Emporium during the day, followed by a gig in Clwb Ifor Bach in the evening. Indyfest will explore the theme of independen­ce through poetry, song, drama, workshops and talks, as well as comedy from Stand Up for Wales, headlined by Steffan Evans, with MC Sarah Breese.
