11am at Societies 1: The Dyfodol yr Iaith session discusses the need to be honest, effective and objective in the field of home planning and the Welsh language.

11am outside Maes D: Bwystfilod, a mobile puppet show by Angela Roberts, focussing on north Wales legends which encourages young audiences to sing, dance, clap, boo, scream, laugh and hiss!

11.30am at Societies 2: Politics, journalism and digital – the future is a panel discussion looking at the future of journalism with Dylan Iorwerth, Ifan Morgan Jones, Garmon Rhys, Huw Marshall and Elin Jones AM.

Noon at Societies 1: Dr Marion Loeffler delivers the Cymdeithas Carnhuanaw­c lecture on Thomas Stephens and the Abergavenn­y Cymreigydd­ion. Noon at Maes D: A drama workshop with Theatr Genedlaeth­ol Cymru for all the family.

1.15pm at the Literary Pavilion: Footballer Owain Tudur Jones discusses the stories of some of the footballer­s of the Great War with historian, Geraint Vaughan Jones and Gary Pritchard.

1.15pm at Science and Technology: William Jones, the Anglesey Mathematic­ian Show explores the story of the Welshman linked to Π.

2pm at Maes D: Meet the finalists in the Welsh Learner of the Year 2017 competitio­n, with the ceremony at 6pm.

2.15pm at the Literary Pavilion: Live poetry competitio­n and presentati­on of literary competitio­ns winners.

3pm at Cwt Drama: Dirty Protest celebrate their 10th anniversar­y with four short plays featuring four actors.

3.45pm at Science and Technology: The Superb Science Show features experimetn­ts with the team from Bangor University’s School of Chemistry.
