Early sales point to a booming property market in Bridgend

-

THE early success of a new development in Brackla has been hailed as further proof of Bridgend’s booming property market.

Eighteen homes have already been reserved at Persimmon Homes’ Oakwood View scheme off Derwen View, opposite the Princess of Wales Hospital – despite there not being an onsite sales office yet.

Persimmon is building 220 new homes at Oakwood View, with the first releases being sold from the builder’s Dol yr Ysgol development in nearby Brynmenyn.

A sales office is due to open at Oakwood View next month.

Sharon Robinson, sales director at Persimmon Homes West Wales, said: “We only launched Oakwood View in April so to have 18 plots already reserved shows how the property market is booming in this area.

“We are sure that high sales rate will continue, particularly when we have a sales office on-site from September.

“We have had many developments in and around Bridgend in recent years. There is a real demand for good quality, affordable housing in this area and we are proud to be leading the way in delivering the properties to meet this need.”

Oakwood View will be made up of two, three and four bed homes.

Ms Robinson added: “We have a fantastic range of property types at Oakwood Views to suit all sorts of different people, from two bedroom flats to three bed semis and four bedroom detached homes.”

Oakwood Views is just a couple of miles from the M4 and there are plenty of sports facilities nearby, including a rugby and football pitch, basketball court, skate park, children’s play parks and six outdoor fitness stations.
