Sales and marketing manager to oversee property portfolio

-

PROPERTY developer Loftco has appointed a new sales and marketing manager to oversee its expanding property portfolio.

The Cardiff-based business is a forerunner in the development of live/work units in Wales, regenerating historic buildings and landmarks to create stylish, cutting-edge mixeduse developments.

Recent Loftco developments have included Grangetown’s new arts centre and business hub TramShed and the redevelopment of The Pumphouse in Barry, the historic Grade II listed Docks building.

Rochelle Cameron, from Barry, joins Loftco from TramShed, where she oversaw the co-working spaces at the business hub, working with start-ups and freelancers to ensure the flexible creative environment suited their needs and requirements.

Her new role as sales and marketing manager will see her working across the group’s burgeoning property portfolio, starting with the launch of its new £8.5m mixed-use Canton development W2 this autumn.

W2, situated directly opposite St David’s Hospital, will incorporate a full refurbishment of the building’s original commercial units into retail spaces and luxury office units, with the addition of a two-storey vertical extension which will house 44 one and two-bedroom apartments.

The building is expected to be ready to welcome its first tenants and residents in November.

The residential phase of the W2 development was launched to the market earlier this year, and since then 70% of the building’s apartments have been sold. Next month 40 office units will become available.

Ms Cameron said: “[Loftco’s] commitment to an alternative and sustainable way of building was a real draw and I’m pleased to start my new role at what I believe to be Wales’ most innovative property developers.”
