£12,000 worth of drugs seized

POLICE have seized around £12,000 worth of cocaine from a house in Llanelli.

A drugs warrant was carried out at Gilbert Crescent in the town yesteday lunchtime.

Around 240 grams of cocaine, which has a street value of £12,000, nine grams of cannabis and a small quantity of valium was seized. A 60-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intention to supply a controlled substance and remains under police investigation.

A 37-year-old woman has been reported for summons to court to be charged with possession of a class B and class C drug and a 40-year-old man has been reported for summons to court to be charged with possession of a class B drug.

The arrests were a result of Dyfed Powys Police’s campaign to help protect victims of crime.
