15 of Wales’ biggest firework displays to make sure Bonfire Night sparkles
Sparks in the Park Join 15,000 others to see this huge firework display to celebrate Guy Fawkes’ Night in Blackweir Fields in Cardiff’s Bute Park. There’ll be a fair, food and lots of fun. 2. Holyhead There is a bonfire hosted by Holyhead and District Round Table.
When: November 5 from 6.15pm and fireworks at 7pm.
Where: Penrhos Beach. Admission for children is free, adults £3. All proceeds will go to good causes. 3. The Merthyr Fireworks Skyshow The Skyshow is back at Cyfartha Park this November. It will have a funfair and entertainment before and after the display. Food and drinks vendors will be serving crepes, pizza and a hog roast.
Parking will not be available for the evening event, but a free shuttle bus service will operate from outside Merthyr Law Courts. The first bus to the park will leave at 5.30pm and the last at 6.45pm. The last will return from Cyfarthfa Park at 9pm. When: November 3, from 5.45pm. 5. St Helen’s Firework Display Swansea’s biggest display will feature fireworks and live staged entertainment as part of the Swansea Council event, with gates opening at 5pm.
The live entertainment will start at 5.30pm, with the fireworks display starting at 7pm.

Holm House, Penarth Inject a bit of cosy glamour into your bonfire night at the hotel on Penarth’s seafront. There’s going to be a BBQ and a bar too. Caerphilly Castle Caerphilly Town Council’s show takes place with the stunning backdrop of Caerphilly Castle. When: November 4, from 7pm. Tickets: Free admission. Caldicot Castle Fireworks With the incredible castle walls as the backdrop, the display will feature fireworks, music and spectacular lights that will paint the night sky with colour.

Barry Island Firework Fiesta Barry Rotary Club has organised another firework display at Barry Island Pleasure Park. When: November 4, 7.30pm. Tickets: Free. 13. Marshfield, Cardiff The annual display will be held at Marshfield Village hall with all the accompanying Bonfire Night treats and refreshments. When: November 3 from 5.30pm. Tickets: Free event, but donations to the hall welcomed. 14. Carmarthen Park Fireworks Funfair, stalls, food and fireworks are back at Carmarthen’s biggest firework display. When: November 5 from 5pm. Tickets: £5/adult, £3/child or £15 family. Visit Carmarthen Round Table on Facebook for details. 15. Colwyn Bay Entrance is free, but there will be a cash collection on the night, with 50 per cent going towards the Firefighters’ Charity. Where: Eirias Park. When: Friday, November 3 from 7pm. The bonfire will be lit at around 7.15pm with the fireworks display following at 7.30pm.
