Ned pedals back with cycling insight

Ned Boulting, The Riverfront, Newport

-

JOURNALIST, television presenter and best-selling author Ned Boulting is pedalling to Newport with a new live show.

Following the phenomenal success of his debut UK tour, Ned returns with Bikeology at The Riverfront in Newport.

The show features new tales from life in the cycling lane, as well as the inside scoop from the sports journalist’s time at the 2017 Tour de France.

Touring at 25 destinations across the UK, he will make a pit stop in Wales on Friday, November 17.

Bikeology celebrates the rise of the sport from maligned pastime to one of Britain’s most heralded, weaving between stories of the unparalleled successes in recent years and the well-publicised problems it has faced.

From the humble commuter to the winner of the Tour de France, Ned takes an off-centre look at what it means to ride a bike, drawing on his own underwhelming adventures in the saddle to his 14 summers spent hurtling around France in pursuit of the sport’s biggest names including no less than Wiggins, Cavendish, Froome and, of course, Armstrong.

Ned has been in the thick of the action for the last two decades and offers unparalleled first-hand insight in Bikeology.

He said: “The Bikeology tour has now been scientifically tested for power-toweight ratio (a resounding thumbs up!) and aerodynamicity (if that’s even a word). It has been stress tested on the high mountains of public opinion and has dropped the opposition on the climb towards total domination of cycling’s immensely crowded theatrical one man show market.

“From the south coast to the north east, the vales to the dales with a few pit stops in places like Northampton, and culminating in a frenzy of metropolitan elitist cycling snobbery in London, it has proven that the passion for the bicycle is a love that transcends parochial division and allows the soul to soar.”

Tickets for Bikeology cost £21 and can be purchased by contacting The Riverfront box office on 01633 656679. The show begins at 7.30pm.
