Admiral one of world’s best places to work

-

ADMIRAL has been named one of the best places to work in the world in a global survey.

More than 10 million employees from 6,600 companies took part in the survey for the World’s Best Workplaces list. The ranking assessed employees’ views on leadership, organisational culture, and trust.

The Cardiff-based insurer made it to 23rd place in the list.

Admiral qualified due to a number of its operations around the world making the Best Workplaces list in their respective countries.

Admiral was also named the sixth Best Multinational Workplace in Europe earlier this year by Great Place to Work.

Admiral Group CEO David Stevens said: “We’re immensely proud to be named as one of the World’s Best Workplaces for the first time. Our culture is intrinsically linked to our success as a business and it’s gratifying to see that our staff, not just in south Wales but around the globe, think we’re a Great Place to Work.

“Whether they’re based in Cardiff or Seville or Rome or Halifax, Canada, they all have a huge part to play in making Admiral the business that it is, and I thank them all for their hard work and commitment.”

Great Place to Work’s CEO Michael Bush added: “The organisations on this year’s World’s Best Workplaces list represent the best of the best. They are at the vanguard of the For All movement, working to maximise the potential of everyone in a way that’s better for the business, people and the world.”

Admiral Group employs more than 9,000 people around the world and has more than five million customers. Its UK workforce stands at more than 6,000 people, with 3,000 in Cardiff.

Admiral Group is Wales’ only FTSE 100 company. Group turnover in the last financial year was £2.58bn.

To be considered eligible for the World’s Best Workplaces list, companies must be multinational and appear on a minimum of five national best workplaces lists that rank organisations based on the results of employee surveys and culture audit assessments.
