Industrial estate 80% fully let within 12 months

-

AN industrial estate in Taffs Well is close to being fully let after £500,000 of investment.

Moy Road Industrial Estate has seen a surge of new occupiers in the past few months following a new investment by its owner Rombourne.

Almost 80% of workshop offices and self-storage accommodation has been occupied within the first 12 months of completion.

Cardiff-based Rombourne is a specialist provider of serviced business accommodation across Cardiff, Newport, Bristol and Swindon.

The group recently completed £100,000 capital investment in the Moy Road Industrial Estate, including investing in a new car park and new cladding for the industrial units fronting Moy Road. And this year Rombourne invested a further £400,000 in the full refurbishment of a 16,000 sq ft building on site to create a new office and workshop business centre.

Knight Frank and DLP Surveyors have been jointly appointed as the commercial property agents at Moy Road. The investment has resulted in a series of new lettings which have included the 15,000 sq ft Unit 15c. This has been let on a 10-year lease to Lanes of Abergavenny, an established family-run vehicle recovery specialist that undertakes work across the UK.

In addition, an agreement has also been concluded for the 10,000 sq ft Unit 15a. This is for a new 10-year lease with Mon Motors Limited, a £300m new car sales business with franchises including Audi, VW, Skoda, SEAT and Ford in various branches across south Wales and the south west.
