This is frightening, imperialist madness

THERESA May, John Redwood and their ilk are dreaming of creating again a “Great” Britain’ – something that never existed.

Modern historians admit that it was a regime that imprisoned and killed millions of ordinary folk in India and Pakistan. In Nigeria countless native people were murdered, tortured and their properties looted etc.

According to the English historian Stewart Laycock in “All the countries we’ve ever invaded”, the “British” have invaded 170 of the current 183 member states.

By debating, cooperating and trading with the other nations of Europe in the EU we have been blessed with 70 years of peace.

The Brexit supporters are taking us headlong not only to economic disaster but, inevitably, with their “we and them” mentality, are sowing the seed for another European conflict. This is frightening, imperialistic madness.
