A PAGE 13 article in yesterday’s edition incorrectly stated that Bangor University had awarded 26 projects a total of £425,000 for ideas that “promote Welsh in the community and Welsh-language technology”. In fact, the money has been awarded under the Welsh Government’s Welsh language strategy Cymraeg 2015: A million Welsh speakers.

From it, Bangor University has received two £20,000 grants – one to develop a programme that records people in danger of losing their voices due to health issues; the other to investigate how the use of Welsh could be increased in the workplace.

We apologise for the error and are happy to set the record straight.
