We need council staff to help survey
DURING early 2017 Age Alliance Wales, a coalition of 21 national voluntary organisations committed to working together to improve the lives of older people, conducted a survey which aimed to capture the opinions of older people, their carers and the professionals who work alongside them, of their experiences accessing support and care services since the introduction of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
This research lead to a wellreceived report setting out our findings and a number of recommendations for change, available on our website at agealliancewales.org.uk
We now aim to expand on that research and have therefore compiled an online survey, which will be available for completion until January 31, 2018, seeking the opinions of local authority staff with responsibility for, or knowledge of, the commissioning of social services for older people since the introduction of the Act.
We would be grateful if people working in such positions could visit www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ AAW04 in order to share their views, or alternatively www.surveymonkey. co.uk/r/AAW01 if they prefer to respond in Welsh.
Readers should be assured that all responses will be entirely anonymous, with no requirement to provide personal details. Jeff Hawkins
