The former Swansea City man will be looking to continue his recent run of form and help Reading inflict only a fourth league defeat of the season on the Bluebirds. The winger has scored five goals so far this season, two of which came in the Royals’ 3-1 win at Sunderland last time out.

The winger returned from injury in the 3-1 win against Norwich and will look to hit the ground running once again having started the season in blistering fashion prior to being forced off the pitch in the early stages of the defeat to Bristol City.

“We’re not in a position where we can slow down. We have to try and prove ourselves now in what will be quite a tough game against Cardiff and we’re looking forward to the challenge.”

“I thought they should have gone up (last season). They’ll probably kick themselves for not beating Huddersfield. To see them going up was a big blow for them

“Nobody really expects us to beat these teams.

“We got to have a plan, Reading pass every team off the park, so we can’t go out willy-nilly. We have to know what’s coming and put together a game plan to get the right results.”
