Former boss with lagoon project goes underground
THE former project manager on the Swansea Bay tidal lagoon project has joined Tredegar-based Atal UK as its operations director.
Experienced project manager, director and site manager David Sagan left his role on the Tidal Lagoon Power scheme in Swansea Bay to join growing specialist below-ground waterproofing company Atal UK.
Born in Scotland, father-of-three Mr Sagan has lived in Wales for the past 25 years and worked throughout Wales and the west.
Mr Sagan said: “I was approached to join Atal UK by its managing director David Rees. It was clear Atal is a company with vision, ambition and excellent national growth potential, just some of the reasons why I decided to make the move.
“My role as operations director means I oversee the supply and installation works the company carries out, ensuring deadlines are met and the quality of work is always of an excellent standard, whilst introducing improved procedures and best practices that will see the company through its continuing expansion.”
Mr Sagan’s experience includes civil engineering, infrastructure, commercial, industrial and residential unit construction, working with several of the UK’s leading main contractors and developers throughout the years. He also has substantial experience of procurement, staff management and contractor management.
