Festive fair at Carmarthen Leisure Centre

CHRIS Dyer’s next toy and train sale will take place on Thursday, December 28 (10.30am to 3pm) at Carmarthen Leisure Centre.

This is the fourth and last event at this excellent venue and will be a special Christmas/New Year show. This one takes place mid-week due to the festive period and it gives traders and customers a chance to give turkey, tinsel and telly a rest!

Four dates in 2018 have now been secured in Carmarthen Leisure Centre, on Llansteffan Road (SA31 3NQ) with a similar format to 2017.

It is a great venue, being easy to reach and well-located just off the main A40 dual carriageway going west from the town (first slip road after B&Q). It has level and easy access.

The nearby town boasts some excellent shopping facilities as wells as hotel and cafes, while the leisure centre offers almost unlimited free car parking, a great atmosphere and an excellent in-house cafe, which offers both quality and value-formoney. December 28 will be business-as-usual in the town with shops open.

Organiser Chris Dyer said: “Carmarthen attracts a wide and varied range of traders from both sides of the Severn Bridge and from as far away as the north of England, the Midlands and Cornwall.

“A wonderful array of stock will be available, with all the big names, such as Dinky, Corgi, Matchbox, EFE, Tri-ang, Hornby, Lima, Wrenn, Bachmann.

“Value-for-money on the stalls has never been better than at present and traders are always very keen to close a sale. Stall-holders are also keen to buy and exchange and customers should bring along any surplus items they may have for disposal. Raid the attic and dust-off any old favourites as they could well worth bringing along, if only for a free valuation”.
