AMERICAN pop-punk group Bowling for Soup will stop in Wales as part of The Get Happy Tour.

Famous in the noughties for songs such as Girl all the Bad Guys Want, 1985 and Punk Rock 101, the tonguein-cheek group will take to the Motorpoint Arena’s stage on Friday, February, 16, 2018.

Originating from Texas, the band consists of Jaret Reddick (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Burney (guitar, backing vocals), Erik Chandler (bass, backing vocals, acoustic guitar), and Gary Wiseman (drums, percussion, backing vocals).

They will perform fan-favourite Drunk Enough to Dance, their second studio album, in its entirety.

Released in 2002, it features single Emily, as well as Greatest Day and their big hit, Girl All The Bad Guys Want.

The latter single was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2003 in the Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal category. Reddick considers the Grammies one of his shining moments, not for the nomination, but for winning worst dressed in Time Magazine.

Support will be provided by the hilarious The Aquabats and Army of Freshman, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary.

Tickets cost £25 each and can be purchased by calling the Motorpoint Arena box office on 029 2022 4488 or by visiting the website at www. motorpointarenacardiff.co.uk.

Those under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
