One of Wales’ largest independent PR agencies has appointed four new recruits to its Cardiff-based team.

The award-winning Working Word continues its growth following 2016’s management buyout, which saw Caroline Holmes and Daniel Tyte take ownership of the business.

Sarah Wise joins as account director with more than 12 years’ experience in PR and communications, having managed high-profile campaigns for clients from sectors including education, consumer brands and charities in an agency setting. Alongside directing Working Word client accounts, including content creation for Visit Wales, Ms Wise will work with the senior team on client growth across Wales and the UK.

Alisha Arthur is one of three new account executives joining the agency. A Swansea University English Literature graduate, Ms Arthur has worked in an events and social media role for a haircare brand. Since joining Working Word, she has supported creative campaigns including Kidney Wales’ Walk Around Wales and #OurSquad, which encouraged women to get active on behalf of Sport Wales.

Tom Reeder, account executive, grew up in London before moving to Wales to take a BA in English Literature and an MA in International Public Relations and Global Communications Management at Cardiff University. He joins Working Word after completing a communications internship with the agency and will work with a broad range of clients across sectors including education, tech, and social enterprise.

Also joining as an account executive is Cardiff University Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies graduate Bethan Jones-Arthur. A first-language Welsh-speaker, Ms Jones-Arthur has worked with clients across government, charity and recruitment sectors. In her new role, she will work on clients such as Bafta Cymru, Boundary Commission for Wales and Visit Wales.

Operations director Caroline Holmes said: “Our four new appointments each bring something different to the agency, which will help strengthen our ongoing commitment to providing the best service possible in a constantly evolving industry. We look forward to welcoming them into the fold and ensuring we continue to create exciting, valuable content and campaigns for our clients that make a real impact on their organisations.”
