THE Marmozets are back and they’re coming to Cardiff.

It’s been three years since the Yorkshire band first broke through with their debut album The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets and received acclaim for single Born Young and Free.

But 2018 is set to be their year, with their upcoming album, Knowing What You Now, which is released at the end of the month.

New single Play is one of the songs the punk rock group are set to play at the show at The Tramshed on Friday, February, 2.

The song was premiered as Daniel P Carter’s Rockest Record and then received the accolade of also being chosen as Radio 1 presenter Annie Mac’s Hottest Record.

Radio favourites Scott Mills and Annie Mac both named Play as their Tune of the Week before it was subsequently playlisted at Radio 1 – a timely reminder that Marmozets are back on the up.

Knowing What You Know Now was recorded with legendary producer Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Pixies) and is the band’s most ambitious and accomplished offering to date.

Following stints at the Reading and Leeds Festivals as well as a sold-out tour in August, Marmozets are ready to rock Wales.

Consisting of two sets of siblings, the Macintyres (singer Becca, guitarist Sam and drummer Josh) and the Bottomleys (lead guitarist Jack and bassist Will), Marmozets built a cult following with a series of indepenedent EPs.

The new album will be released on digital, CD and limited edition blue vinyl formats. Fans who pre-order the album from www.marmozets.co.uk will receive instant downloads of two tracks – Play and Habits.

The show starts at The Tramshed at 7.30pm, and is only suitable for those aged 14 years of age and above.
