EVER wanted to know what an alien invasion in the Welsh valleys would be like? Welsh-made film Canaries will tell the story of just that.

Organised by Cardiff Independen­t Film Festival, the sci-fi horror will be shown in Chapter Arts Centre tonight.

Filmed in Vietnam, Washington and Cwmtwrch in the Swansea Valley, Canaries stars Richard Mylan (Waterloo Road), Aled Pugh (Stella), Robert Pugh (Game of Thrones), Hannah Daniel (Hinterland) and Kai Owen (Torchwood).
