No faith in the accuracy of polls
YOUR headline “Labour support slips in Wales” recalls a similar poll taken before the June 2017 General Election.
That caused panic in Welsh Labour HQ, and in consequence they concentrated on saving those seats deemed vulnerable to a Conservative Party swing, while neglecting the Tory marginals. Had they not done so (this mistake was replicated all over England) we might now be enjoying the benefits of a Labour government.
I have zero faith in the accuracy of such polls – they’re about as reliable as predictions that England would win another Grand Slam. John Cox Pontypool
