Skoda Superb gets an upgrade plus

- CHRIS RUSSON newsdesk@walesonline.co.uk

CZECH car maker Skoda is updating its Superb line up with the introduction of Sportline Plus models and additional equipment on all but the base models.

The Sportline Plus is priced from £29,330 and comes with a 9.2-inch sat nav display with integrated wifi, heated front seats, blind spot detection, an electronically operated boot and progressive dynamic steering. Costing £1,500 more than the standard model, Skoda says the extra equipment fitted to the Sportline Plus represents a 40 per cent saving over the individual option costs.

Estate versions are priced from £30,645 and, as part of the range update, the standard SportLine model has been reduced by £470 to £27,830. Its specification has been realigned to include the Amundsen eightinch satellite navigation system in place of the larger Columbus system.

All models in the Superb range except the entry-level S receive a boost in equipment at no additional cost with SE and SportLine models gaining front and rear parking sensors, while SE L Executive models are now fitted with front and rear parking sensors, blind spot detect, keyless entry and a colour trip computer.

Range-topping L&K models also gain more equipment with a heated multi-function steering wheel, ventilated seats and rear-view parking camera being added to the standard specification.

All updated Superb models are available to order now with deliveries of the new SportLine Plus model expected late June.
