Hospitality group snaps up Beaufort Park Hotel

-

A HOSPITALITY group has snapped up a well known hotel in Flintshire.

The 3-star AA Beaufort Park Hotel, near Mold, went on the market for £3.5m last year with Christie & Co last year as the owner David Byers planned to retire.

Now the 106-bedroom site has been sold to JDP Hotels 2 Ltd, headquartered in the Midlands, which is owned and run by entrepreneur Pranay Paw and his family.

The deal was led by Cheshire law firm, SAS Daniels LLP.

The new owners plan to invest in upgrading the property which will remain as a hotel and conference centre, with all 80 staff staying with the business.

Pranay Paw, managing director of JDP Hotels 2, said: “Beaufort Park Hotel was an obvious investment choice for us as we increase the number of hotel properties in our portfolio.

“Its location, being near Chester, Snowdonia and historic Welsh castles, is coupled with its reputation both locally and within the industry.

“We would like to thank all those involved in the process and we’re excited to now be able to move forward with our plans.”

Paul Tyrer, Partner at SAS Daniels, said: “JDP has been hugely successful in establishing its hospitality business, so it was a natural progression to add to its growing portfolio.”
