Don’t compromise on the will of the people

WE are told by the Tories in Westminster that Brexit is the will of the people, and that they will respect and implement this decision.

However, the will of the people of Wales in two referendums is being totally ignored by the Tories and Labour in Westminster with their power grab of Welsh powers.

This is exacerbated even further by the total capitulation of the Welsh Labour Government, supported by the Liberal Democrats and the Independent Lord, who are also ignoring the will of the people of Wales.

This shambolic shower do not have the mandate to make an agreement with the Westminster government because the total percentage of Labour and Lib Dem votes in the last Assembly election was less than 40% of the votes cast.

The Scottish Government has not caved in like its spineless Welsh counterpart. But the Scots have a strong intelligent woman as their First Minister, who stands up for every man, woman and child in her country.

If Mark Drakeford wants to be the next First Minister of Wales, start by putting the Welsh people first, and revoke this agreement and work with the Scottish Government and the Northern Ireland parties to get the best outcome – no compromise on the will of the people of Wales, none of our powers are going to Westminster!

This sad and pathetic episode only confirms that the only difference between the Tories and Labour is that they wear different coloured rosettes on election day.

Every political party in Wales has to come together and do something about our democracy here now before it is too late, because our democracy, nationality, economy, public services and culture are all at risk.
