Hafod appoints two to senior leadership team
HAFOD, one of Wales’ largest providers of housing and care has appointed two new members to its senior leadership team.
Karen Rosser will take on a new position in the organisation as executive director of people and change. Ms Rosser, who has a first-class honours BSc in social science with social policy from the Open University, has a strong background in the private sector, most recently with Compass plc as a human resources director
Appointed to the new role of executive director of place, policy and stakeholder engagement, Kath Palmer has over 20 years’ experience in the public sector, including working for a number of local authorities in south Wales, the Welsh Development Agency and, most recently, as a senior civil servant with the Welsh Government.
Established in 1968, Hafod operates across 10 local authority areas in south Wales, providing care to 16,000 people and employing more than 1,200 staff. Hafod is part of the Hendre Group, which has an annual turnover of £56m.
Its chief executive Jas Bains said: “I am thrilled to welcome Karen and Kath to the organisation. Their newly-created roles form part of an organisational restructure in a milestone year as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. Their expertise will be an asset to the Group as we move forward into a period of transformation by aligning our care and housing services together to the benefit our customers.”
