Praising staff, inspectors said excellent teaching makes a strong contribution to pupils’ wellbeing, personal development and the standards that they achieve.
They said teachers “communicate a passion and enthusiasm for learning and demonstrate professional expertise that is successful in securing high levels of engagement and progress.”
Leadership is “inspirational” with leaders sharing “a clear vision for the school, based on passionate commitment to securing excellent standards and high levels of wellbeing for all pupils”.
The report also recognises Olchfa’s strong track record in addressing national priorities, particularly its role in curriculum reform as a Pioneer School.
Commenting on the inspection, head teacher Hugh Davies said: “The report reflects the commitment of all members of the school community.
“We are particularly pleased that inspectors recognise the inclusive nature of the school and the extent to which we achieve high levels of pupil wellbeing.
“Teaching is judged to be excellent and our work as a curriculum Pioneer School is acknowledged as innovative and ambitious.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank pupils, staff, parents and governors for their continued hard work in achieving these exceptional outcomes.”
