IT has certainly been an unforgetta­ble season for Josh Adams (left).

The 23-year-old winger from Hendy, near Llanelli, is joint top tryscorer in the English top flight as his Aviva Premiershi­p side Worcester Warriors faces Northampto­n Saints away on Saturday.

He currently has 13 touchdowns in 20 games to his name – on par with Vereniki Goneva of Newcastle Falcons – and has a strong chance of scooping the coveted award for the most lethal finisher in English rugby.

And, of course, this year has seen the winger burst onto the Welsh rugby scene as one of the new faces we will no doubt be seeing a lot more of.

His club exploits at Sixways led to a call-up from Warren Gatland, and the former Scarlets wing made his Test debut in the 34-7 thumping of Scotland on the opening weekend of the Six Nations.

Making his Wales debut with former schoolmate Steff Evans on the other wing, Adams was moved to the brink of tears during his first ever anthem as an internatio­nal player at the Principali­ty Stadium.

He later retained his place in the 12-6 defeat by England at Twickenham but was then omitted from the team for the remaining three matches after key figures returned from injury - but didn’t seem out of place in the internatio­nal set-up.

Still a relatively new name for Welsh rugby fans, Adams – who left Welsh rugby in 2014 after failing to get a contract with the Scarlets - has spoken about the roller coaster journey of the Six Nations, his time with
