CHESSINGTON IS COOL FOR CATS

THE new multi-million pound Land of the Tiger enclosure, featuring Europe’s first overhead trails, has opened at Chessington World of Adventures in Surrey.

It’s home to four endangered Amur tigers – Tsar, Kyra, Olga and Kalinka – who arrived from Sweden earlier in the year.

The world’s largest tiger species can roam the three habitat enclosure with a cat’s-eye view of visitors below, in what the theme park calls ‘’a new standard for animal care and welfare’’.

Guests can also splash down at the new Tiger Rock log flume ride and join the Carnivore Keepers for tiger experiences. Four new big cat-themed rooms are also being introduced to the park’s Safari Hotel.

Admission starts at £29 per person and stays in the tiger rooms start at £200 a night.
