ACTRESS’S GRAND HOME’S A REAL CRACKER

-

Irish-born actress Geraldine Somerville, has enjoyed a wide and varied career both on TV and in films, including most famously her role as the adult Lily Potter in the Harry Potter films.

Other high-profile parts have included Detective Sergeant Jane Penhaligon in the 1990s TV series Cracker, as Countess Manton in ITV’s Titanic, pictured, and film appearances in 2001’s Gosford Park and 2011’s My Week with Marilyn.

More recently she’s been starring in a new stage production called Checkpoint Chana at the Finborough Theatre in London.

But as well as working hard treading the boards, Geraldine has also been busy trying to sell her home in fashionable Notting Hill. She put her five-bedroom property on the market in 2016, but has been forced by London’s sluggish housing market to cut its price several times, most recently reducing it to £4.5 million.

The stucco-fronted property features high ceilings and is arranged over five stories, including a ground-floor open-plan kitchen-cumfamily room plus a drawing room upstairs.

It also has a westfacing garden and off-street parking for two cars, a sought-after feature in an area where parking wardens stalk the streets.

Geraldine won’t be homeless though.

She and her family also have a farmhouse in the New Forest.
