Reviewer Evan enjoys ‘awesome’ motor show

Monster Jam, Principality Stadium, Cardiff

-

WE’VE done something a little different today as over the weekend one of our minireviewers went along to the Monster Jam show.

But you don’t want to hear what a 30-something woman has to say, so instead, here’s a report from 10-year-old Evan Pronger from Caerphilly.

A Monster Jam veteran, Evan went to see the Monster Trucks visit Cardiff ’s Principality Stadium for a second time.

This is what the Twyn School pupil had to say:

Wow, what a ride.

Before the whole show started we got to go down into the pit and see some of the drivers, it was awesome.

It was in the Principality Stadium and I also got to go up on the big screen because I crept up behind the reporter, which was quite funny.

We had really good seats with no-one sitting in front of us so we could see everything, it was so loud and the trucks went really fast but it was so much fun.

There were three rounds altogether, the first was two Monster Trucks racing.

Megalodon was up first and whoever passed the line first after two laps, won.

It was very tight on one lap and they had to replay it but on other laps they just zoomed ahead of each other. It was Earthshaker who won the round.

The second round was not my favourite, but I still loved it, and it was called the two-wheel challenge – as you can probably guess from the title, the trucks had to go around on two wheels.

The Gravedigger, which is my favourite, was good, but sadly didn’t win – Max D won and they were doing handstands, going up ramps and trying to keep their trucks up on their two wheels. And the last round was freestyle.

As we sat in the stands, it was so loud I could feel it in my chest. They were doing back flips off the crates, really high jumps and I couldn’t remember who won that round because I was having so much fun!
