Parents, wake up to sex-education issue

-

PARENTS are and must be the first teachers of their children, not the State, in this instance the Welsh Assembly Government.

I refer to the Western Mail report (May 22) concerning teaching fiveyear-olds about sex.

Who do these politicians think they are? Over a period of just a few years they have introduced a law to take our organs without our consent; using euphemistic language e.g. “deemed consent”.

They are providing abortifacient morning-after pills via Welsh chemists to our underage children without parental consent. They want to finance Irish expectant mothers out of our NHS funds to abort their children in Wales, and the latest is they want to change the abortion law to DIY abortions by sending expectant mothers home to take an abortion pill.

We now have the spectre of teaching little children things that are far beyond their little minds, and don’t be fooled by the promise that you as a parent can withdraw your children from such lessons.

Your child will still be exposed to the chit-chat of children in the playground. And what about teachers, mothers and fathers themselves who do not wish to teach children about these matters that even older pupils may have problems with?

How will the new law affect parents who teach their children at home? We can already see such people as these Assembly liberal thinkers trying to undermine the choice of these parents to protect their children from bad environments in modern schools.

Please, parents, wake up to what is going on, these are your children, don’t listen to politicians who would see these same innocents snuffed out by chemical abortion pills before they even see the light of day. Paul Botto Cardiff
