WILSONS Auctions Newport showcased another successful Unreserved Government Auction last week, selling a huge selection of luxury and designer goods, achieving a hammer total of over £100,000.

With a huge footfall through the doors of the south Wales auction house and a large number of bidders online, this Unreserved Government Auction proved to be the most successful to date!

Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, Prada and Gucci, shoes by Jimmy Choo and much more went under the hammer and reached great auction prices. More items included Apple products and personal registration plates.

In addition to the designer goods, the crowds gathered for the impressive 2015 Audi RS3 which went for over £26,000.

Wilsons Auctions manages the whole asset realisation process for its clients, which includes collection, valuation, storage, re-marketing and auctioning of assets. In conjunction with this, the process works with the private and public sector and over 40 law enforcement agencies across the UK and Ireland.

Wilsons Auctions is proud to facilitate its monthly government auctions with one also held in the Belfast branch.

In recent years Wilsons Auctions has been responsible for returning in excess of £85m back into the public purse.

From this, Wilsons Auctions has gained huge coverage across the UK and Ireland, being aired on ITV Wales News and recently featuring on BBC One’s Ill Gotten Gains.

Presented by Rav Wilding and Angellica Bell, Ill Gotten Gains provides a great insight into the work Wilsons Auctions carries out on behalf of government clients and police forces, and the role the auction company plays in realising criminals’ ill-gotten gains.

The programme is currently available on the BBC iPlayer.

While all of this excitement is created around designer and luxurious goods, Wilsons Auctions still has a strong team investing in the continued expansion of its car offering for customers.

Wilsons Auctions is delighted to be working with its existing vendors as well as new vendors including Eastern Western Motor Group, Newtown Vauxhall, PW Millar Ford, Ron Skinner & Sons and Pinetree Car Superstore, as well as David Taylor Garages, Go Car Credit, Secure Trust Bank, Southern Merthyr Vauxhall and Cardiff, Bristol and Bath Honda.

The weekly car auctions at Wilsons Auctions Newport take place every Monday and Wednesday at 6pm and on Friday at 11.30am.

Wilsons Auctions offers online bidding for the majority of their auctions, which enables customers to bid from any location.

Branch manager Nigel Binks promotes the online bidding facility Wilsons Auctions provides.

He said: “The online bidding system is available for the majority of auctions that the company has to offer, which allows the auctions to appeal to a wider geographical audience.

“This is a great bonus as the Newport branch continues to expand with new stock and a variety of new auctions.”

Wilsons Auctions holds over 1,000 auctions annually across its branches, auctioning everything from cars and vans, plant and machinery and property to general goods, as well as the more luxurious items including planes, yachts, gold bars, supercars, designer goods and prestigious watches.

Wilsons Auctions is a family-owned business, formed in 1936 in Northern Ireland. It has grown to become the largest independent auction company in the British Isles, with sites in Northern Ireland, Wales, the Republic of Ireland, England and Scotland.
