Death crash on M4

PART of the M4 was closed for more than seven hours after a woman died in a crash yesterday afternoon.

The westbound carriageway was closed after a serious crash involving a BMW X5 between junction 37 at Pyle and junction 38 at Margam just before 3pm. A 28-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene. A 31-year-old man, who was driving the car, was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff by air ambulance.
