Full occupancy at Swansea Enterprise Park

-

A RETAIL park in Swansea is now fully occupied following a new letting deal.

In a deal brokered by property advisory firm Fletcher Morgan, Happy Home Furnishers has signed up as the latest tenant at the out-of-town retail location at the Swansea Enterprise Park.

The expanding retailer has taken 12,650 sq ft of space at the park on a 10-year lease. It joins existing occupiers Dreams, Iceland, Poundworld and Home Bargains.

Matthew Jones, of Cardiff-based Fletcher Morgan, said: “The final letting at Phoenix Retail Park provides some positive news for retail property at a time when the market is dominated by negative press of store closures and company voluntary arrangements.”

Michael Semmens, of Happy Home Furnishers, which has four stores in Wales, said: “Our longterm aim has been to relocate from our town stores in Neath and Swansea to a bigger premises, and Phoenix Retail Park ticks all the boxes.

“We hope our new superstore will attract both new and old customers that have found parking in town centres becoming increasingly difficult.”

The retail park is owned by Barberry Developments.

Director Martyn Cartwright added: “We are extremely pleased to have let the final unit at Phoenix Retail Park to Happy Home Furnishers, which is a testament to the strength of the park’s trading location. Happy Home Furnishers will complement the current retail offer and make a positive contribution to customer footfall.”

Barberry also owns the adjacent Lion Way Retail Park, with occupiers such as MFC Sofas, HSL, Poundstretcher, Floors 4 You and Farmfoods.
