Fab to set to seal his exit

-

SWANSEA City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is expected to complete his move to West Ham United within the next 24 hours.

The 33-year-old is away on international duty with Poland, who took on Senegal in their World Cup Group H opener yesterday afternoon, but is still expected to be confirmed as a Hammers player at some point today.

The London Evening Standard claims the two clubs have agreed a £7 million fee for the former Arsenal gloveman, who is poised to sign a three-year deal at the London Stadium.

Swansea are keen for the deal to be confirmed as swiftly as possible, having accepted that they may have to move on some of their star players before they look to bring any new signings in.

West Ham are also still interested in centre-back Alfie Mawson, although at the time of writing no fresh bid had been received for the Swans defender.

Meanwhile, Swansea City are keen on signing Rangers right-back James Tavernier, according to reports.

The Mail Online report that the Swans are among the clubs keen on the 26-year-old former Newcastle United and Wigan player, and say he could be allowed to leave for around £3 million.

Tavernier, who runs a dog breeding business away from football, joined the Glasgow club in 2015 and has previously had spells with the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City and Rotherham United. Since 2015 he has gone on to make more than 240 appearances for the club.

He played 29 times for them in 2017-18 in the Scottish Premiership and netted five goals, while captaining the side for much of the season.

Amid reports Crystal Palace were interested in the player, the Daily Record previously reported that new boss Steven Gerrard had made it clear he wanted Tavernier to be part of his plans.
