‘Raid the attic for any old favourites’

-

CHRIS Dyer will be holding a toy and model train sale today from 10.30am to 3pm in Carmarthen Leisure Centre, Llansteffan Road

This is the second such event this year, with further shows in October and December. Carmarthen is always a popular and well-attended show.

Carmarthen Leisure Centre is a great venue – easy to reach and well-located off the main A40 dual carriageway going west from the town (first slip road after B&Q).

The nearby town boasts some excellent shopping facilities (classed as one of the best shopping centres in the Principality) as wells as hotels, and cafes, while the leisure centre offers almost unlimited free car-parking, great atmosphere and an excellent in-house cafe.

The cafe offers both quality and value and it will be operating during this event.

There is also level and easy access and the main hall is well-lit and very user-friendly.

Organiser Chris Dyer said: “Carmarthen attracts a wide and varied range of traders from both sides of the Severn Bridge and from as far away as the North of England, the Midlands and Cornwall.”

A wonderful array of stock will be available, including big names such as Dinky, Corgi, Matchbox, EFE, Tri-ang, Hornby, Lima, Wrenn and Bachmann.

Value for money on the stalls has never been better than at present and traders are always keen to close a sale.

Stallholders are also keen to buy and exchange, so customers should bring along any surplus items they may have for disposal.

Chris Dyer added: “Raid the attic and dust off any old favourites, as they could be well worth bringing along – if only for a free valuation.”
