WILSONS Auctions is bringing its own version of the World Cup to south Wales this summer!

Wilsons Auctions Newport is encouraging customers to embrace the festivities of the world’s biggest sporting event at the south Wales branch as it prepares for multiple auctions.

Throughout the duration of the World Cup, Wilsons Auctions Newport will be giving away spot prizes during its weekly car auctions, which take place every Monday and Wednesday at 6pm and Friday at 11.30am.

The branch is also delighted to welcome Russell Lewis to the team as business development manager and auctioneer as it looks to further strengthen its offering. Alongside Russell, the Newport branch has also introduced Jim Daniels as a business development manager.

Russell, formally a senior manager at British Car Auctions, Bridgewater and Newport, commented: “I am thrilled to join the team at Wilsons Auctions Newport. I have worked in the south Wales area for a considerable amount of time now and Newport is in a great strategic area on the main Swansea to Bristol road, so very accessible for passing trade.

“We kicked off the World Cup celebrations last week with spot prizes and buyer incentives which we will be continuing through the duration of the World Cup.

“To add to the excitement, we have a huge range of vendors with cars on offer throughout our auctions, so we would encourage our customers not to miss out on the excitement and come down to our auctions throughout the week,” he added.

The weekly car auctions at the Newport branch involve a number of existing vendors as well as new vendors including Eastern Western Motor Group, Newtown Vauxhall and PW Millar Ford, as well as David Taylor Garages, Go Car Credit, Secure Trust Bank, Southern Merthyr Vauxhall and Cardiff, Bristol and Bath Honda, plus a whole other host of main dealers.

Online bidding for auctions is available and allows interested buyers to view and bid on auctions from any location across the world!

Not only does Wilsons Auctions Newport provide customers and buyers with quality customer service, online bidding and viewing services of all cars, the branch also offers a bespoke auction hall and cafe.

As the largest independent auction house in the UK and Ireland, Wilsons Auctions holds more than 1,000 auctions annually across its branches, auctioning everything from cars and vans, plant and machinery and property to general goods, as well as more luxurious items which include planes, yachts, gold bars, supercars, designer goods and prestigious watches.

The family-owned business has more than 80 years of expertise in the auction business and has grown from a single auction house in Northern Ireland to 18 sites across Wales, England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland, in addition to its Northern Ireland sites.
