Cardiff sixth form offers up to 100% scholarshi­ps for local students

BRIGHT students who gain at least nine A*s or equivalent in their GCSE results today have the opportunit­y to apply for one of 18 full scholarshi­ps being offered by Cardiff Sixth Form College.

Worth up to 100% off tuition fees, students who achieve top results and are interested in excellent teaching, support and careers guidance should contact the registrar, Melanie Symons before 11am today, Thursday, August 23, by telephonin­g 029 2049 3121 ext 244 and email copies of their GCSE grades to admissions@ccoex.com. Smaller scholarshi­ps are also available.

Results at the league table-topping school are tremendous. This year, 15% of Cardiff Sixth Form College students have gained places at Oxbridge and 26% of the cohort will be going onto study medicine at university. Delivering another set of outstandin­g results, 88% of students at Cardiff Sixth Form College gained A*/A and 96% A*/B grades this year with 41% of students gaining three A*s or more.

Cardiff Sixth Form also offers excellent careers guidance for students and 90% of students received offers from Russell Group universiti­es this year.

The two-year careers programme involves advice on particular universiti­es and courses, guidance on the Ucas process, personal statement writing, work experience opportunit­ies both in the UK and internatio­nally as well as post-results help with clearing or adjustment.
