CLIVE’S GRAND HALL IS SCENT-SATIONAL

-

Most women like to have a bottle of expensive perfume on their make-up table, but for the truly extravagant the musthave scents are those made by British designer Clive Christian.

In 2006 Christian took the world of upmarket fragrance by storm, launching the world’s most expensive perfume, a bottle of which cost £115,000.

His perfumes today are still expensive enough to make your eyes water, retailing in stores such as Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Fortnum & Mason for around £500.

But his work as a designer goes much further than scent.

Christian is also known for his kitchens and interior design, and fans can now rent his former home outside Manchester, Willaston Hall, for £5,000 a month.

The property retains the bespoke kitchen he installed at the property, which is a Grade-II listed Queen Anne-style mansion. Tenants will be able to breeze around its six bedrooms, four bathrooms and four reception rooms.

Tom Burke, head of Cheshire lettings at Savills, says: “Willaston Hall was renovated throughout by Clive Christian, who owned the home until 2016 when he sold it to the current owners.”

The property includes garaging for three cars, front and rear driveways, a garden store, tool shed and a three-chamber wine cellar.
