£250,000 mega-draw to support healthcare

-

THE Health Lottery’s new monthly £250,000 Mega Raffle launches tomorrow.

Players will be given the chance to win this new jackpot while, more importantly, also supporting local health causes by raising money for hundreds of charities across the length and breadth of Great Britain.

This week’s Monthly Mega Raffle will take place at 7pm.

With its core aim to make a real difference to thousands of people across Great Britain, more than £100m has been raised by society lotteries through The Health Lottery.

Martin Ellice, from the lottery, said: “This Saturday’s first-ever £250,000 Mega Raffle is momentous for The Health Lottery.

“This is why we want more players than ever before.

“All of our work here at The Health Lottery has one specific purpose: to raise more money for those local charities who need it the most.

“The more people take part, the more help we can provide.”

During August, Health Lottery South East was raising money through The Health Lottery scheme to support local good causes in its region.

It’s also super-easy to get involved.

To win the Mega Raffle, players simply pay £1 per line and choose five numbers between 1 and 50.

For each line purchased in the main Health Lottery draw in each of their five draws per week, the player also receives one entry into that month’s Mega Raffle.

After years of being a loyal Health Lottery player Martyn, 58, from Swindon was shocked to find out that he had scooped a £49,535 jackpot prize one morning as he was getting ready for work.

He said: “My first reaction was that I couldn’t believe it. I checked the ticket three times and then realised that I had got all the numbers!”

With more chances to win, it’s no wonder why the Mega Raffle is generating so much excitement.
