Moneypenny continues to enjoy rapid expansion

PHONE answering firm Moneypenny is now taking on 25 staff every month as it rapidly expands its Wrexham office – moving into its top floor.

The company relocated to its cutting-edge Wrexham office – complete with pub and treehouse – at the end of 2016, with fewer than 500 staff at that time.

That figure has now hit 650 and growing, with the business expanding 20% a year, with Live Chat and other digital products helping drive that growth.

There are plenty of applicants to choose from, with 3,000 applications in the past year.

These extra workers have seen the innovative company expand into the third floor of the new building.

In line with Moneypenny’s commitment to having one of the best workplaces in the UK, it has also added a hi-tech gym for workers.

A spokeswoman said: “We are recruiting 25 people every month. More people means more space, hence the move to the top floor.

“When we designed the office, we designed it with additional space to allow us to expand.

“We are currently fitting out the top floor of the building ready to accommodate new members to the team.

“Our building is also incredibly eco-friendly and state-of-the-art, so we future-proofed the building at the very start of the design process.”

The company believes such a large number of people want to work with them because of the way they treat their staff, with the office at the heart of this.

The spokeswoman said: “Our objective was creating an office that promoted wellbeing and a key part of this was providing fresh fruit and breakfast, and our subsidised restaurant provides healthy, delicious and balanced meals.

“The top floor of our building also hosts the new gym that recently opened. That was requested by staff.

“We also offer exercise classes before during and after work hours.”

She added: “We have never had to advertise any roles and last year we received 3,000 applicants for jobs and this ensures we are able to pick the very best people to join our team.”

Moneypenny was founded by Ed Reeves and Rachel Clacher 18 years ago after they came up with the idea around the kitchen table.
