How they rated
ERWIN MULDER
Assured from the big Dutchman. Handling was exemplary and as calm as they come on the ball. Made a handful of fine saves and handled aerial aspects of the job with comfort.
CONNOR ROBERTS
Picked up where he left off from Wales duty. Solid defensively and his attentions drove Joe Lolley to distraction, while also getting forward whenever the chance presented itself.
MIKE VAN DER HOORN (CAPT)
One second-half slip aside, another fine performance from the skipper. Continues to do the nuts and bolts of the game very well. He may not be flash, but he is certainly effective.
JOE RODON
Like his partner, continued an impressive start to the campaign. Confient bringing the ball out, and able to handle himself in the grittier exchanges.
DECLAN JOHN
His first league start was a tough baptism initially with little cover ahead of him, but improved a little once McBurnie dropped in ahead of him.
JAY FULTON
Another forced off, this time after a clash of heads with Robinson. Soldiered on until the break before being withdrawn. Rough luck on his return from a broken bone in his hand.
BARRIE MCKAY
A mixed bag. Saw one shot blocked and involved in good work with McBurnie and Celina, but also hustled off the ball far too easily at times.
BERSANT CELINA
Swansea will desperately hope his injury is not serious. Looked the man most likely to make something happen for the hosts before Janko’s awful tackle helped end his afternoon prematurely.
YAN DHANDA
Looked like a fish out of water in the first half. Showed little interest in defensive duties and was often lightweight in possession. Improved once thrust into number 10 role and worked Pantilimon. The teenager will learn a lot from the experience.
