Pupil tried to blackmail teacher into sex – court

-

ONE of Eleanor Wilson’s students threatened to expose her alleged relationship with another pupil unless she had sex with him, a court heard.

The unnamed student sent Wilson a series of messages to her school email account in February 2016, attempting to blackmail her into sex.

He threatened to send an anonymous note to the school’s head teacher and also sent the defendant a photograph of his genitals.

The first email, which was sent from an anonymous Gmail account on the evening of February 16, said: “I know about you and (the boy) and do you want that coming out?”

A short time later, Wilson received a second email, titled re: sexual activity, which said: “Reply in 24 hours or it will slip out. We wouldn’t want that, would you.”

The defendant replied: “I think you have got the wrong person’s contact details.”

Bristol Crown Court heard that within a few hours of receiving the first message Wilson had informed her assistant head teacher, and the following day the defendant and the teacher went to the police.

But the emails continued to be sent, with one later that day saying: “You know what I am on about. You had sex with (the boy).”

Wilson replied: “Okay, you are a bitter student. What a ridiculous allegation. Would you please continue to be a student and I will continue to teach. Kind regards, Eleanor Wilson.”

The blackmailer replied: “I know what you did. I am jealous of him... The option is that you have a sexual relationship with me and sleep with me.”

The trial continues.
