£5,000 reward offered in hunt for murder suspect
A CHARITY is offering £5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a “dangerous” man wanted on suspicion of murder.
Steve Baxter, 52, is still on the run from police, who are investigating the death of a man at a holiday park.
The body of 54-year-old Simon Clark, from Pendine, Carmarthenshire, was found at the village’s Grove Caravan Park on the morning of September 28.
After his death, Mr Clark – whose body was discovered in a caravan with a stab wound to the chest – was described as a “wonderful father, grandfather, son, brother, friend and partner”.
Four people have now been charged in connection with the death, but police are still searching for Baxter, who also goes by the names Steve Rowley, Wayne Tidy and William Tidy.
Swansea train station was put on lockdown on Friday after police received a tip that Baxter was travelling on a train into the city. Armed officers cleared the platforms and evacuated the station but Baxter did not appear.
Dyfed-Powys Police continues to appeal for information from the public that could help locate him and now Crimestoppers is offering a £5,000 reward. The charity says it will pay the reward to anyone who provides information leading to Baxter’s arrest.
Anyone with information can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via a non-traceable anonymous online form.
