A kind of magic in Caerphilly Workmen’s Hall

The Bohemians, Caerphilly Workmen’s Hall

-

HAVING been billed as A Night of Queen with The Bohemians, that is exactly what the audience got and so much more!

As the sold-out venue began to grow, so did the expectation of the band. Most Queen fans are fanatics and anything less than 100% will not cut it.

Thankfully, The Bohemians are 100% professionals when it comes to giving the crowd what they want. Even a false start wasn’t enough to make them flinch.

With such a vast back catalogue of great music, The Bohemians played tribute to Freddie Mercury & Queen in the best way possible, by playing their music with the flair and passion it so righly deserves.

The Bohemians have been wowing crowds since 1996 and you can see this throughout their show.

The know exactly how to work the crowd, and while they played some of the more obscure Queen tracks, within no time they had everyone back up on their feet, singing and dancing almost of if it was the real thing on stage in Caerphilly.

Caerphilly Workmen’s Hall is the perfect venue for live music. As a listed building you can feel the history contained within. As such, you could almost feel like you were watching the real deal in they 70s prime, during the older songs.

With songs such as One Vision, I Want To Break Free, A Kind Of Magic and The Show Must Go On, we had it all.

After a break the band delivered even more hits, with the likes of Hammer To Fall, We Are The Champions and of course Bohemian Rhapsody. I could have done without the drum and guitar solos. That said The Bohemians’ Brian May did get kudos for wowing the crowd with a version of Tom Jones’ classic Delilah.

Each member of The Bohemians did their original counterpart proud, especially their Freddie Mercury and Brian May. The band and venue delivered on all aspects. A great night out!
